since birth, and as in Persian culture, cerements are the last attires that cocoon the human body. To It has been ten years since I preferred painting on fabrics over canvases… they embrace human`s body me, as a woman, fabrics have revealed their most limiting and obligating faces, forced me to wrap myself by them, and follow the regulated lengths, classes, and dress codes to convey a contradictory impression of myself to others and appear as an interpretation that impact different aspects of my life. Cutting and sewing are ironic references to an arbitrary decision made by others for you; thereby, I cut and sew the fabrics to represent the same act to my beholders. Accordingly, I paint as opposed of sewing and cut as if scheming….
