Asad Iqbal

Growing up in Scotland, I was fully aware that the country was home to world class scenery. Towering mountains, endless coastlines, and an abundance of wildlife roaming freely - it is a mecca for photographers. During my days off at university, I made use of that valuable time, and began teaching myself how to use a camera and photo editing. It was not an easy start. There are many things to take into account while taking a photograph - settings, composition, lighting. Trying to wrap my head around all of these components was tricky at first, but the more and more I practiced, the more and more easy I enjoyed photographing my surroundings. It also helped that the landscapes before me were awe-inspiring. Slowly building a diverse portfolio from my travel around the Highlands of Scotland and beyond, I began uploading my work to social media sites such as IG and Twitter, were it got traction and I'm endlessly grateful for it. It has been years since I first picked up my camera, and that rush of excitement still hits me to this day - photography will never get old for me.
