Born in February 1982 in Istanbul.
After completing his education at Anadolu University, Doruk Seymen worked on photography and visual design in the advertising industry.
Doruk Seymen, who started his professional photography career in 2006, has done editorial and cover shoots for many brands and magazines in the fashion world for 12 years.
He studied at NYIP (New York Institute of Photography) for 18 months. Doruk Seymen, who has been photographing at Doğan Burda Magazine Group since 2010, now serves various brands in Turkey and abroad with his own company.
After shooting a documentary film about Syrian Refugees in 2016, he held his solo exhibition "Dom and Abdal from Syria to Gaziantep" at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France. Then this project won the world second prize in a photography competition organized by the Human Rights Consortium / University of London.
He continues to prepare experimental portrait narratives by combining the contrasts and extraordinary characters in the society with his own fictions.
