Iker, originally from the Basque Country is living in The Netherlands. Professionally he is a designer and photography is a very natural organic extension to his body of work, since more than 20 years ago. He has a specific style and point of view, coming from the perspective of design, translated into his photo pieces. His favourite categories in photography are portraits, street photo, architectural and minimalistic photography. He decided his artistic name to be Ikertje, which means little Iker in Dutch, because of his respect and empathy to the professional photographers and their work, entering their space with a humble attitude. He would like collectors to appreciate his style, use of color, framing, and his focus of interest. Since he was a kid, his mother was surprised about the things that did catch his attention and his overall curiosity for life. He would stop walking, and appreciate moments, objects, buildings. His aim is to put the focus in that not clearly perceived snapshots, bringing that simplicity to the front.
