About The Artist

I became a photographer because I can't draw

I was not surrounded by photographers as a kid. I did not inherit my grandfather’s old camera. I just always thought photography was damn cool.I exchanged labour for cash, cash for camera, & that’s all it took to go down a 20 year rabbit holePhotography is the fashion magazines from the 70s, 80s & 90s my mother had lying around. National geographic too. I liked cultures, landscapes & wild life… but it was the portraits I loved.Especially the black & whites. It meant: edgy, moody, honest (and misleading) photography. It lead me to Newton, Lindbergh, Parks & McCurry. So what is photography to me? I have a decent serving of regrets in my life. Photography is not one of them.
